Poetry
I Want You
In velvet midnight your skin gleams like polished stone,
A living canvas where the stars themselves have shone.
Your laughter dances soft as summer rain at noon,
And every curve of you outshines the silver moon.
Your presence pulls me like the tide beneath the blue—
I want you.
Your smile breaks open like the dawn on mountain crest,
A flash of perfect white that sets my soul at rest.
It heals the hidden wounds no other touch has known,
A sunrise wrapped in joy that calls my heart its home.
No jewel, no flame, no dream could ever shine so true—
I want you.
The graceful sway that moves within your every stride,
A rhythm born of heaven, wild and dignified.
Your eyes hold galaxies where quiet wonders spin,
And in their depth I drown and find myself again.
My every thought returns, my every breath pursues—
I want you.
Black queen of quiet fire, crowned in natural grace,
Your beauty writes its legend on your glowing face.
The way your lips curve up, a sweet and sacred art,
Can mend a broken man and restart a shattered heart.
Across the space between us, this one truth breaks through—
I want you.
I trace your silhouette inside my waking dreams,
Where moonlight loves your shoulders and the starlight gleams.
Your voice, a velvet song that wraps around my name,
Ignites a hunger nothing earthly can tame.
No distance, fear, or rule can keep this heart subdued—
I want you.
Let me worship softly at the altar of your skin,
Breathe in the warmth no other soul has taken in.
Your smile alone could raise the dead and make them sing,
A holy light that turns a sinner to a king.
This longing burns eternal, fierce and ever new—
I want you.
So come, my midnight rose, my sunrise wrapped in gold,
Let worlds collapse around us, let the truth unfold.
No poem, song, or prayer could ever quite express
The depth of all I feel when you simply say “yes.”
In every lifetime, every world, this stays my only truth—
I want you.
A Poem to God
My heart overflows with love for You alone,
Your endless mercy like a river to my throne.
You bless me daily with Your peace that guards my mind,
As in the garden where Your presence Adam sought to find.
I Need You.
With every breath I love You, Lord of all creation,
Your gentle hand lifts me from depths of desolation.
You bless my steps with strength when weary roads I trod,
Like David praised Your name before the ark of God.
I Need You.
My soul adores You, Father, faithful through the night,
Your perfect love casts out all fear and fills with light.
You bless me with forgiveness, washing sins away,
As Noah found Your grace upon the stormy day.
I Need You.
I love You more than life, my Rock, my Shield, my Song,
In You alone my spirit finds where it belongs.
You bless my life with joy no sorrow can destroy,
Like Joseph rose through trials to his royal joy.
I Need You.
My love for You burns brighter than the morning star,
You draw me close no matter how distant or far.
You bless me with Your Word, a lamp unto my feet,
As Moses saw the bush where holy fire did meet.
I Need You.
With all my heart I love You, God of endless grace,
Your arms of comfort hold me in this earthly race.
You bless me with new mercies rising with the sun,
Like Lazarus heard Your voice and life was won.
I Need You.
Forever I will love You, King upon the throne,
Your Holy Spirit guides me, never left alone.
You bless me with salvation through the cross You bore,
Redeeming all who call as in the days of yore.
I Need You.
