The bathroom was still warm and steamy from her shower, the mirror slightly fogged at the edges. She stood there admiring her reflection, phone in hand, feeling confident and beautiful in her favorite outfit.

He’d been waiting quietly in the doorway, watching her with a soft smile. His blue eye fixed on her black skin, completely captivated by her.

She finally lowered her phone and met his gaze in the mirror, she grinned back. He walked over and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, giving her a gentle hug. The warmth of his lighter skin against her rich brown tone made her heart flutter.
He rested his chin on her shoulder and kissed her cheek softly. “You look amazing,” he whispered, his voice full of affection.

She turned around in his arms to face him, wrapping her arms around his neck. “I’m glad you think so.”He carefully lifted her onto the counter so they were eye-to-eye, then stepped close between her legs. They leaned in and shared a long stare, a sweet kiss, tender and full of the feelings they’d both been holding in for so long. His hands stayed gently on her waist while hers rested on his shoulders, pulling him closer. They stayed like that for a while, just holding each other and kissing softly, enjoying the quiet moment together.

The gentle contrast of their skin, the way their hands fit, and the warmth between them felt perfect. When they finally pulled back, both a little breathless, she brushed her nose against his and smiled. “Worth the wait?” she asked playfully. He looked into her eyes, smiling wide.
“Every single second,” he answered, then hugged her tight again, like he never wanted to let go.
