Not About Colour – Poem
It’s not about colour,
It’s not about race,
It’s not about culture,
It’s not about power or saving face. It’s about the people
the millions left behind
and you have failed God,
you have failed your kind.
With your racist, progressive actions,
you painted the future in quotas and lies,
BEE chains on merit, land seized from the skies,
while the skilled flee in planes and the hopeless just die.
How can you call it progression
when the whole world can see
the land go to hell on Google Maps
farms burned black, cities in debris,
townships drowning in crime,
Eskom’s lights flickering out,
Transnet rails rusting,
ports choked with doubt?
Unemployment at thirty-three percent,
youth broken at fifty, no jobs, no ascent.
Murders in the night, farms attacked in the day,
corruption in every office, every promise betrayed.
Water in the streets, power in the dark,
a nation once rising now bleeding its heart.
You traded truth for revenge,
expropriation for hate,
progressive slogans for a slow-moving fate
brain drain in waves, investors turned away,
while the poor stay poorer and the hungry still pray. It’s time to vote for the Freedom Plus,
for merit, not colour, for justice, not fuss.
For private land honoured, for criminals caged,
for every South African—every soul—engaged.
Not about black, not about white,
but about life, about wrong made right.
Rise from the ruin, reject the divide—
the people are waiting. The future’s alive.
